Extreme may not be the most appropriate descriptor however as you'd think the series may have taken things to the next level, which isn't necessarily the case. What Formula Front - Extreme Battle really ends up offering fans is more of the same Armored Core action that they know and love, though there really isn't a whole lot else. Sure, AC nuts will dig this like a grave, but anyone who's been turned off by the series' tedious trial and error Armored Core design and test elements of the past won't find anything new here to turn them onto the series. One of the problems that the series has had is that its Core configuration mechanics have had a rather elusive learning curve. That is, until you've figured out exactly what every single piece does (which can take quite a long time), then you'll find that building the Cores is simply a matter of selecting a piece, heading out to a test battle and see if it suits you. If not, pick from one of the other numerous parts and try again.

Part of the problem is that while some of the attributes have reasonable enough descriptors that you can bring up, some other aspects, like exactly how certain missiles acquire a target and seek them out, are things you'll have to find out on your own. Again, it's a whole trial and error routine that takes place over and over and over again. It can be frustrating, for sure. On the bright side though, if you're really into what's going on here then there's plenty of customizability to be done. You'll find anywhere between 30+ to 70+ parts for any section of your Armored Core, and with the number of sections you'll have access to configuring, this leaves room for a lot of unique designs. Really, where the series has shined for its fans is in how much control they have over building their unique creations with which to do battle, and though it's a rather steep learning curve to get everything down, there's a whole lot here for fans to dig into. Once your Armored Cores are built (you can keep a number in your garage of sorts), you'll set out to take down a series of other ACs in various leagues. There really isn't much in the way of any sort of story or anything here, it's simply you choosing the next battle and then fighting it out. It would have at least been nice to see background info and images, if not a movie, of each of the other architects you fight. Without the customizations you can wrangle off the battlefield, the on-field action really wouldn't hold up very well. Once you step into the arena the battles become somewhat slow from an action standpoint, though it does offer a fair bit of strategic play. For example, if you've designed an AC that's best used from behind cover and at a distance, then you'll need to play that way. If you've designed your unit for speed and vertical movement, flying about in a more action-heavy manner is what you'll want to focus on. Like the other games in the series, AC: Formula Front - Extreme Battle does pretty well in this regard.

As mentioned however, were this game to rely strictly on its battle elements it would fall flat. Battles typically come down to who can target who fastest, time strategic missile shots and make most use of the various additions to their Armored Cores, like RADAR jammers and such. Again, the strategic stuff here is decent, but simply locking onto another unit and pressing Square isn't really all that engaging.

One thing that's disappointing is that though you can choose to have your Armored Core's AI fight for you - which you can tune a bit, though maybe not as much as we'd have liked - you're unable to provide any sort of commands whatsoever during battle. It would be cool to play more of a managerial role here, letting your unit take care of all of the action elements while you issue various high-level commands, like to play defensively for now, focus on long-range weapons or such.

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial; In other words, you won't need the rose-hued goggles of nostalgia to appreciate Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, since it's a great game even by modern standards. If you're new to Tactics, you'll find a strategy role-playing game with plenty of deep gameplay and one of the finest stories in a Final Fantasy game to date. If you've already experienced the 1998 PlayStation original, you'll enjoy some nifty additions in this enhanced port, including terrific cutscenes, new character classes, and new playable characters. There are some noticeable issues in the presentation, and some lurking frustrations in the gameplay remain. In the context of such satisfying gameplay, though, the annoyances are easy to forgive--especially considering you can squeeze 60 or 70 hours of quality entertainment out of it.
<p style="padding-top: 0px; Almost 10 years later, Tactics expresses more excitement and romance in a single moment than many modern games can manage in their entirety. It helps tremendously that the awkward localization of the original has been replaced with realistic dialogue devoid of grammatical errors (well, except for a few famous ones). There's also another major storytelling enhancement: beautiful, fully acted cutscenes that provide an even greater sense of atmosphere. Calling these scenes cel-shaded wouldn't do them justice, though, since they have a grainy texture to them that resemble a painting more than a cartoon. Suffice it to say, it won't take you long to get caught up in the internal struggles of Ivalice's House of Beoulve, the binding ties of friendship, and the social stigmas of the lower classes.

But if the story ropes you in, it will be the gameplay that keeps you coming back for more. A word of warning to new players, however: War of the Lions throws you into the fire, expecting you to figure out the convoluted class and character systems on your own. As a result, you may find yourself getting your butt handed to you until you get used to the mechanics. Once you do, however, you'll find an engaging character development scheme that will keep you constantly reevaluating the makeup of your adventuring party. Every party member begins as either a squire or a chemist, but can ultimately evolve into a monk, mage, assassin, oracle, and more. But you also have a secondary job slot to equip, as well as other ability slots that can be lifted from other classes.

As you gain experience in battle, not only do your characters level up, but so do your job classes. In turn, you are then able to purchase new abilities within those classes. It's a terrific system, for while it gives you the freedom to customize characters in endless ways, your party members still retain the core strengths that lend them to certain roles. There are two new classes to play around with, too: Onion Knight and Dark Knight. Experienced players will probably get more use from the Onion Knight than new players will, since its jack-of-all-trades nature requires some patience. Dark Knights, on the other hand, are deadly from the start, though you have to master multiple classes before you gain access to this profession.

Battles are generally intense, though the downside of the class system's flexibility is that the level of difficulty can vary wildly, depending on how you set up your parties. You may find some early battles almost impossible to get through without a bit of grinding first, while you will absolutely breeze through others. Still, most battles are quite challenging, requiring you to closely examine each move before committing to it. It's perfectly plausible (and if you aren't careful, downright common) to waste a spell because you don't have enough mana, or damage party members in addition to enemies. In light of this, it's too bad you can't take back your move orders once committed, as you can't always tell if a square will put your enemy in attack range until you occupy it.

The Final Fantasy I & II Anniversary Editions released earlier this year featured more striking visual upgrades than does War of the Lions. Yet the graphics hold up remarkably well, using familiar (and charmingly noseless) 2D sprites on 3D maps. The presentation has been enhanced to take advantage of the PSP's widescreen resolution, yet there are some awkward moments during scenes in the game engine where the map is cut off to the right or left, since it wasn't created to fill the wider screen. Some spells and attacks have new effects to go along with them, though the slowdown that accompanied some attacks in the original is still present in War of the Lions--as is the lack of synchronization of certain sounds that accompany them. The soundtrack is slightly enhanced, yet even without the tweaking, it remains one of the finest Final Fantasy scores to date, featuring tracks by both Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata.
<p style="padding-top: 0px; One-on-one matches are fine provided you have a buddy with characters of approximately the same level, though we don't recommend exploring the inherent frustration of imbalanced battles between a weak party and a strong one. Co-op play fares better, but even then, a player with a less experienced party may not enjoy the relatively strong monsters that spawn in, thanks to the other player's higher level. Two players on equal footing, however, should have a blast, especially because there is new equipment up for grabs.

There are other small annoyances that the new version retains, such as its camera, which can be rotated and tilted, but may not always give you the most helpful view. While the technical tools you need are fully explained, the book concentrates on filmmaking principles throughout, illustrating how these tools can be used to achieve stylistic approaches for innovative filmmaking.

The book assumes no background knowledge in either technology or filmmaking and is divided into four key areas:
*DEVELOPMENT: turn your idea into a workable script, storyboard and schedule.
*PRODUCTION: develop skills to shoot original short films and turn a zero-to-low budget to your advantage.
*POST-PRODUCTION: learn basic editing techniques to enhance your original idea using iMovie, Premiere and other popular tools.
*DISTRIBUTION: set up a website and use the internet to promote your film. Includes numerous links to useful websites. Plus, top tips for how to enter a film festival and a new chapter on developing a career.

Projects enable you to master each step of the process taking you through different aspects of filmmaking today. Gradually you will find out where your strengths lie and how to make the most of them. The book also encourages stylistic development by intruding theoretical approaches to filmmaking. A glossary of terms plus an appendix of resources make this guide a one-stop essential handbook to DV filmmaking practice for beginners and student filmmakers.

* Master low-budget filmmaking principles with easy step-by-step techniques and practical projects
* Develop a real world perspective through case studies and interviews with successful filmmakers
* Combine technical know-how with stylistic approaches to filmmaking.

Product Details

* Paperback: 400 pages
* Publisher: Focal Press; 2 edition (December 2, 2005)
* Language: English
* ISBN-10: 0240807383
* ISBN-13: 978-0240807386

Down

The Automotive Chassis

The Automotive Chassis

Book Description
This comprehensive overview of chassis technology presents an up-to-date picture for vehicle construction and design engineers in education and industry. Many of today's economic issues are obscured by their inherent complexity and the blarney coming from political talking heads. In his follow-up to Basic Economics, Sowell, a leading conservative spokesman and a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution, seeks to alleviate this confusion. He highlights the major differences between politicians (who act for the short term, i.e., reelection) and economists (who look at the long-range ramifications of policy), and urges voters to keep these differences in mind. Sowell then focuses on a few issues, including some political hot potatoes: medical care, housing, discrimination, insurance and the development of nations. He urges readers to consider not only the intended, immediate goal of a particular policy, but also its unintended, long-range impact. For instance, he says, supporters of nationalized health care overlook the fact that it often results in health-care shortages, reduced quality of services and black markets. The great achievement of Sowell's book is its simplicity. His writing is easy and lucid, an admirable trait considering the topic at hand. This book will not satisfy hard-core economic junkies, and Sowell does not pretend it will. His target audience is the average citizen who has little or no economics background, but would like the tools to think critically about economic issues. Some readers will be turned off by Sowell's preference for free-market principles, but the author is an esteemed economist and his explanations fit well within the mainstream. As a basic primer for the economically perplexed, this volume serves very well.

Product Details

* Hardcover: 246 pages
* Publisher: Basic Books (November 11, 2003)
* Language: English
* ISBN-10: 0465081436
* ISBN-13: 978-0465081431

Down

Building Forums With Vbulletin

Building Forums With Vbulletin

Book Description
This will grow your understanding and familiarise you with the power and possibilities of vBulletin. vBulletin's Administration Control Panel is where you can control every aspect of your board. It is the solution to infrastructure, public and private venture capital needs. It has been successfully used in the past to raise trillions of dollars of capital and promises to continue to be one of the major financing techniques for capital projects in both developed and developing countries.

Project Finance aims to provide:
*Overview of project finance
*Understanding of the key risks involved in project finance and techniques for mitigating risk
*Techniques for effective evaluation of project finance from both a financial and credit perspective

The author differentiates between recourse and non-recourse funding, tackles the issues of feasibility, identifies the parties normally involved with project finance plans, and details techniques for realistic cash flow preparation.

*Inspired by basic entry level training courses that have been developed by major international banks worldwide
*Will enable students, and those already in the finance profession, to gain an understanding of the basic information and principles of project finance
*Includes questions with answers, study topics, practical 'real world' examples and an extensive bibliography

Product Details

* Paperback: 205 pages
* Publisher: Butterworth-Heinemann (June 27, 2005)
* Language: English
* ISBN-10: 075065905X
* ISBN-13: 978-0750659055

Down

Dead Reef's The Game (RIP GAME)

It is said that for hundreds of years, pirates from the
English island of Dead Reefs were looting the ships
sailing by and slaughtering their crews. One of the
wrecked ships was carrying an old relic, kept secret and
locked by a centennial monk order. It is known to have
been then stolen and retrieved by the ruler of the island,

Baron DeSantra.
Shortly after, inhabitants of the island started dying in
unnatural ways one by one. The first victim of thi s
strange series of events was the Baron's wife, who was
killed by her husband with his sword.
Ten decades after these alleged "facts", a new d eath is
reminiscent of the legend and casts fear on the island of
Dead Reefs. A detective from the mainl and, Amideo
Finvinero, is sent to investigate the deat h and find the
killer.
You are this detective. And you wil l need more than
natural skills to shed the light on this terrific case.<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; Detective Vic Mackey and the Strike Team define a new
form of policing on FX Network's Emmy and Golden Globe win- ning
police action-drama, The Shield. Just like
the series, players in the game will delve into the grayest areas
of the law, employing unconventional police tactics while fighting
a war on crime where the lines are blurred on what ends can justify
the means.

Links: 1 follows the second ending of Warrior Within, in which the Prince kills the Dahaka and successfully alters Kaileena's (The Empress of Time) fate. While on a ship en route to his home city of Babylon, the Prince tosses his magical medallion overboard, as he believes he no longer needs it. He has promised Kaileena that no harm will come to her in Babylon, but upon returning, he is horrified to find the city is burning and ravaged by war. His ship is attacked and he and Kaileena are thrown overboard. Kaileena is taken prisoner after drifting ashore.

After fighting his way through the city, the Prince discovers that as a result of his efforts on the Island of Time to prevent the Sands of Time from being created, the events of the original games never happened- the Vizier was never killed. Worse, he now possesses the empty hourglass, the Dagger of Time, and the magical staff. The Vizier is now in search of the Sands of Time, and has captured the Empress of Time to get them. Just as the Prince finds Kaileena, the Vizier kills her, and unleashes the Sands of Time, which strike and mutate the Vizier's lieutenants into hideous sand monsters. Then, by impaling himself with the dagger, the Vizier transforms into a terrifying immortal winged creature. The Prince is also struck by the Sands of Time, although the effects on him are not revealed until later in the story. The unleashed Sands of Time cause the palace to fall apart and collapse. The Prince falls as the floors collapse around him, but not before stealing the Dagger of Time.

Later, the Prince finds that the Sands of Time have split him into two personalities: his usual self, which although flawed strives to be good and noble; and the "Dark Prince" who represents the more cruel, avaricious, and arrogant aspects of his psyche, and is manifested as a bitter and cynical inner voice. Whenever the Dark Prince is dominant - in the absence of water, and when he is able to feed on the Prince's fear and anger - the Prince assumes his dark, corrupted form, although his mind remains intact. In his natural state, the corruption of the Sands is limited to a glowing wound on his left arm and shoulder, where the Sands had fused a razor-sharp chain weapon known as the "Daggertail" into his flesh. The Prince is alarmed to discover that the wound spreads further with each metamorphosis into the Dark Prince.

Meanwhile, the Vizier has transformed his army (and even some of the population of Babylon) into Sand monsters. While searching for a way to defeat the Vizier, the Prince once again encounters Farah, who does not remember him, and is surprised that the Prince knows her name. Although initially wary of the Prince, she agrees to help him defeat the Vizier.

As they travel together, the Prince continues to endure the inner struggle between his noble aspirations (which resonate with the brave and compassionate Farah, who is also developing feelings toward him) and the Dark Prince, whose voice is a constant reminder of the Prince's darker tendencies. The Prince's growing affection for Farah compels him to embrace a more selfless perspective, beginning with concern for Farah and developing into compassion for his downtrodden people. As this begins to happen, he realizes that the Dark Prince, who claims to be part of him, is in fact a Sand monster, who is vying for control of the Prince and his kingdom. A particularly heroic and selfless deed proves a turning point in his mission, as his heroism inspires a new hope in the populace. With their spirits lifted by the knowledge that their Prince is fighting to save them from the Vizier, they rise up in defiance of his army, and provide just enough of a diversion for the Prince and Farah to get through the horde of Sand warriors guarding the palace.

As they approach the throne room, however, they are ambushed by the Vizier. He captures Farah and sends the Prince plummeting deep into a dry well, who survives only by transforming into the Dark Prince. As he goes further into the well, the Dark Prince's voice grows stronger and more hostile, fuelled by the lack of water and the Prince's desperation. The Prince eventually comes across a dark room to find his father, King Sharaman, lifeless on the ground. Overcome with grief and taunted by the Dark Prince, the Prince finally recognizes his own immaturity underlying his constant efforts to undo his mistakes. He resolves never to walk down that path again, and to accept the consequences of his actions. With this resolution, he silences the Dark Prince and reverts to his natural form - without water. Taking up his father's sword he makes his way up the tower to complete his mission.

Using the Dagger of Time and his father's sword, the Prince is able to defeat the Vizier and free Farah. With the Vizier's death, his army vanishes and Kaileena's soul is freed from his grotesque form. She thanks the Prince by cleansing him of his corruption and removing the Daggertail, before leaving this world for another that more suited to her presence, taking the Dagger of Time with her. However, as the Prince leans down to reach for his father's crown, he is confronted by the form of a dark warrior, as prophesied at the end of Warrior Within. Before the Prince's eyes, the dark warrior metamorphoses into the Dark Prince, who swings his Daggertail and draws the Prince into the mental realm where the two battle for control. With some help from the voice of Farah, the Prince realizes that battling his inner demon only serves to feed it, and will trap him forever within its realm. In the end he turns away and follows the voice of Farah up an ascending staircase leading to a bright cleansing light. Starved of anger, greed, and pride, the Dark Prince is finally defeated. The Prince awakens back in the real world to Farah's warm embrace.

Veterans of The Sands of Time are then treated to a tribute and reference to the first game in the trilogy. As they look out over Babylon, Farah asks the Prince how he really knew her name. He then begins to tell her the story of the first game, using the same monologue as the introduction and ending of that game, bringing the trilogy full circle: "Most people think time is like a river, that flows swift and sure in one direction. But I have seen the face of time, and I can tell you, they are wrong. Time is an ocean in a storm. You may wonder who I really am and why I say this. Come, and I will tell you a tale like none you have ever heard...."

Size: 20 parts 25Mb and 01 part 16Mb for easy dl.

Links: 1 With the h elp of a rat named Splinter (who was also transformed by the ooze), th e turtles take the next logical step by learning martial arts and beco ming superheroes. The game's plot revolves around a mystical sword tha t is being sought by the evil Shredder and his army of ninja thugs, kn own as the Foot Clan, so that they may perform unspeakable acts of evi l with it. Along the way, you'll encounter many faces from the show, i ncluding the Turtles' best pal, April, and Casey Jones, the hockey-mas k-sporting vigilante hero. The game's story is told in an episodic fas hion, with each stage containing its own segment of the overall story- -although certain stages don't quite seem to fit into the overall plot line. Every stage has around five or six areas that you must clear to pass on to the next stage. Certain areas are preceded or succeeded by either a story sequence, using the in-engine characters, or an actual full-blown cutscene, using the animation style and voice talent from t he TV show. The cutscenes are actually quite well done, but the in-eng ine stuff only has the characters standing around occasionally shaking their fists or marginally changing their facial expressions to signif y being mad or something similar. The show's voice talent is used in t hese scenes as well, but, overall, they're still decidedly lackluster when compared to the real cutscenes.

Size: 40 mb 8 parts and 15mb one part

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; Some books try to give you copy- and-paste instructions for how to deal with every single system issue that may arise, but How Linux Works actually shows you how the Linux system functions so that you can come up with your own solutions. After a guided tour of filesystems, the boot sequence, system management basics, and networking, author Brian Ward delves into open-ended topics such as development tools, custom kernels, and buying hardware, all from an administrator's point of view. With a mixture of background theory and real-world examples, this book shows both "how" to administer Linux, and "why" each particular technique works, so that you will know how to make Linux work for you.

link

Boiler Operators Handbook

           Boiler Operator's Handbook by Ken Heselton

Book Description

This book was written specifically for boiler plant operators and supervisors who want to learn how to lower plant operating costs, as well as how to operate plants of all types and sizes more wisely.
